IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is a recombinant analogue of the human growth hormone-like factor. It is long of 83 amino acids: the 70-residue IGF-1 sequence with the arginine at position 3 instead of the glutamate, plus a 13-amino acid extension at the N-terminus. These changes significantly reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins that normally sequester IGF-1 in the serum and culture media, so that the analogue remains free to act on the IGF-1 receptor for longer than the native protein. It is a protein rather than a short peptide and contains three disulfide bridges.

IGF-1 LR3 is used as a growth factor in cell culture, in recombinant protein production media, and in research on IGF-1 receptor signaling. Provided as a lyophilized powder, 0.1 mg per vial; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of reconstituted solutions.

Rates and free shipping

Processing and tracking

Orders are normally prepared on business days. Dispatch timing may change during holidays, severe weather, inventory review, or address verification. A tracking reference is provided when the carrier accepts the parcel. Carrier scans can take time to appear.
