Thymosin alpha-1 is a twenty-eight amino acid peptide with an N-terminal acetylated end. In the body, it is produced by proteolytic cleavage of the N-terminal region of prothymosin alpha, a highly acidic nuclear protein, and it was first isolated in the 1970s from bovine thymus extract. The peptide is highly acidic, with a high proportion of glutamate and aspartate residues, and has no defined secondary structure in solution. The material provided is the synthetic peptide of the native human sequence, which is identical to the INN thymalfasin.
Thymosin alpha-1 is used in research on dendritic cells, T lymphocytes, and Toll-like receptor signaling. Provided as a lyophilized powder in 5 mg and 10 mg vials.

Rates and free shipping
A flat shipping rate of $25 CAD applies to eligible orders below $250 CAD. Eligible orders of $250 CAD or more receive free standard shipping. The checkout displays the available rate after a complete Canadian address is entered.
Processing and tracking
