KPV is a tripeptide, L-lysyl-L-prolyl-L-valine, corresponding to the last three residues of the alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone. This C-terminal fragment carries the anti-inflammatory signaling activity of the alpha-MSH but lacks the melanocortin receptor binding region, so it has no activity on pigmentation. It is absorbed by intestinal epithelial cells via the peptide transporter PepT1 and acts on cytokine signaling dependent on NF-kappa-B within the cell.
KPV is used in research on intestinal epithelia, inflammatory signals and cytokines. Provided as a lyophilized powder, 10 mg per vial.

Rates and free shipping

Processing and tracking
