TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on thymosin beta-4, a protein of 43 amino acids found in almost all mammalian cells, where it is the primary intracellular reservoir of monomeric G-actin. The name TB-500 is used for the synthetic material corresponding to the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4, the seven-residue N-terminally acetylated Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln (residues 17-23) segment, which is the part of the protein responsible for its binding to G-actin.

TB-500 is used in actin dynamics, cell migration, and research on models of tissue damage. Provided as a lyophilized powder, 10 mg per vial.

Processing and tracking
